Susy Suryani

Managing Partner

Susy Suryani Suyanto attained a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Trisakti University. She is a tax attorney and a certified tax consultant and obtained the Brevet C (the highest working license qualification). In addition, Susy has a Bachelor of Law degree from University of 17 Agustus 1945 Jakarta and a Master of Law degree from University of Padjadjaran, Bandung where she graduated with a Summa Cum Laude in 2007. Susy has over 11 years of comprehensive experience as a tax consultant with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young Indonesia. Furthermore, Susy has attended various tax trainings including tax manager training in Chicago, United States. She has become a tax specialist in matters relating to dispute resolution (tax audits, objections and appeals).

With proven track record handling tax matters of multi-national corporations that are listed in Indonesia and/or overseas stock exchange, as well as in the large tax-payer offices in Jakarta, the list of clientele business profile includes manufacturing, leasing and finance, shipping and forwarding as well as real estate developers/contractors. Susy is Chairwoman of The Association of Indonesian Tax Practitioners and Consultants (P3KPI) / Ketua Umum Perkumpulan Praktisi dan Profesi Konsultan Pajak Indonesia, Deputy Head of Treasury in the Indonesia China Business Commerce (ICBC) under Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) and also a regular speaker on tax issues in public seminars.

Faozan Efendi, S.E., Ak.

Partner – Transfer Pricing & Tax Dispute


Faozan Efendi is a Partner at Suryani Suyanto & Associates with over 20 years of experience in the field of taxation. He began his career at SSA in 2004 and was part of the tax team at General Electric (GE) Indonesia for three years before rejoining SSA in 2017.

Faozan specializes in Transfer Pricing and international taxation, with deep expertise in preparing TP documentation, conducting arm’s length transaction analyses, and managing TP disputes across various industries. He also has extensive experience representing clients in general tax disputes—from audits and objections to appeals and judicial reviews at the Supreme Court. He is currently licensed as a Legal Counsel at the Tax Court of the Republic of Indonesia.

Graduating cum laude from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Faozan actively participates in various professional training and forums to strengthen his ability to deliver strategic, comprehensive, and compliance-based tax solutions.

As an advisor, Faozan is known for his analytical, solution-oriented, and regulation-driven approach. He has a proven ability to bridge clients’ business objectives with strategic tax compliance. He is frequently involved in cross-border tax planning, business restructuring, and the preparation of legal arguments in complex tax cases.

Deni Haryadi

Tax Director


Born in Bandung in 1977, Deni holds a Master’s degree in Accounting (M.Ak.) from Universitas Mercu Buana, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics majoring in Finance (S.E.) from Universitas Indonesia, and a Diploma in Taxation from STAN.

Deni began his career in taxation and customs in 1998 as a Registrar at the Tax Court, where he handled numerous tax and customs cases. He then continued his service at the Tax Office in the Jakarta area, serving as a Tax Auditor and in various other roles.

In 2014, he transitioned to the private sector, joining Air Asia as a Tax Manager. He later served as Vice President of Legal & Tax at an aviation charter company, General Manager of Strategic Business and Finance at Merpati Maintenance Facility, and most recently as General Manager of Tax at the holding company PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk., before joining SSA Consultant.

With a deep understanding of both local and international tax systems, Deni has successfully led numerous complex assignments, including tax structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and the resolution of high-risk disputes across various industries such as finance, media, aviation, mining, palm oil plantations, fertilizers, real estate, digital economy, and more.

Rida Handanu

Senior Tax Advisor


Rida Handanu holds a Diploma III and Diploma IV in Accounting from the State College of Accountancy (STAN), as well as a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University, Canada, earned in 1996. He has an extensive career spanning 23 years at the Directorate General of Taxes, from 1996 to 2019, where he held various key positions.

He served as a Tax Auditor for four years at the Jakarta Special Tax Audit Office, handling large national and multinational taxpayers. He then continued as Head of the Audit Division at the Large Taxpayer Office 1 for two years, and as Head of the Intermediate Tax Office in Bandung for another two years.

At the Directorate General of Taxes’ headquarters, Rida spent eight years in leadership roles including Head of the Organization and Procedures Division, Head of the Tax Revenue Sub-Directorate, Head of the Tax Audit Sub-Directorate, and Head of the Tax Intelligence Sub-Directorate.

For seven years, he held an Echelon II position as a Senior Policy Analyst and was assigned as acting Head of various Regional Tax Offices, including the Yogyakarta Region, East Java Region 2, Papua Region, Banten Region, and the Large Taxpayer Regional Office. In the last four years of his public service, he was appointed as Head of the Bengkulu and Lampung Regional Office and subsequently as Head of the Central Java Region 2 Office.

His extensive experience in various strategic roles within the Directorate General of Taxes has given him in-depth expertise in tax regulations and strong competence in their proper and effective implementation. In addition, Rida has participated in various training, seminars, and comparative studies in countries such as Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Germany. He was also appointed as an advisor during the early development phase of Indonesia’s Coretax system for two years.

Rida currently holds a Tax Consultant Practice License (Certificate C) and serves as the Second Advisor for Education and Research at P3KPI (Association of Indonesian Tax Consultants).

Rikko

Senior Tax Specialist


Rikko was born in Palembang in 1979. He holds a Diploma degree from the State College of Accountancy (STAN), earned in 2001, and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Universitas Indonesia, completed in 2006.

With over 23 years of experience at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), Rikko has built extensive expertise in Indonesia’s taxation system, particularly in Value Added Tax (VAT), tax objections, and taxpayer account management. During his tenure, he served in several key roles including at the West Jakarta Regional Office in the VAT Objection Division, as a Tax Auditor in the VAT Division at KPP Kebon Jeruk, and as an Account Representative at KPP Pratama Kebon Jeruk Satu, the Tax Office for Listed Companies, and KPP Pratama Tigaraksa.

Rikko is known for his meticulous attention to regulatory compliance and deep understanding of practical tax administration. His years of hands-on experience with both national and corporate taxpayers allow him to provide insightful and effective solutions in handling tax compliance, audits, and dispute resolution. Teguh Purwanto

Manager – Tax Compliance & Dispute Resolution


Teguh Purwanto is an experienced tax professional with a strong background in taxation, financial forensics, auditing, and law enforcement in the fiscal sector. He currently serves as a Manager at Suryani Suyanto & Associates, where he provides strategic tax advisory services, supervises tax compliance, and assists corporate and individual clients in resolving tax disputes during SP2DK inquiries, tax audits, and preliminary evidence investigations. His role combines technical expertise with hands-on consulting practice in navigating complex tax issues.

Before transitioning to the private sector, Teguh served for over 19 years at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Republic of Indonesia. During his tenure, he held several key positions including Tax Auditor, Civil Servant Investigator (PPNS), and Head of Supervision. He was assigned to various offices such as KPP Pratama Ternate, the Large Taxpayer Regional Office, KPP Pratama Jakarta Palmerah, the East Jakarta Regional Office, and the Special Jakarta Regional Office. His last position in government was as Head of Supervision at KPP Pratama Jayapura, where he was responsible for overseeing taxpayer compliance and optimizing tax revenue potential.

Academically, Teguh holds a Diploma IV in Accounting from the State College of Accountancy (STAN) and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Cenderawasih University in Jayapura. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma in Jakarta, demonstrating his commitment to continuous professional development in both legal and tax fields.

Throughout his career, Teguh has participated in numerous specialized trainings both domestically and internationally. These include Tax Intelligence Training at the Indonesian Strategic Intelligence Agency, Transfer Pricing and International Tax Planning and Audit courses from IBFD, Forensic Auditing, and Anti-Money Laundering training in collaboration with Indonesia’s Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). He is also proficient in using Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) and has completed leadership and communication training to support his current managerial responsibilities.

Fluent in both Indonesian and English, Teguh maintains a balanced lifestyle by pursuing his passion for music—especially playing guitar and drums—and staying active through sports such as golf, hiking, and camping.
